Chronic low back pain necessitates a comprehensive rehabilitation approach that goes beyond a singular treatment method. However, there is a notable gap in the literature regarding the effectiveness of an integrated healthcare approach that encompasses both cognitive and physical aspects of pain.

To address this gap, our study implemented a four-week field deployment of MORT-LBP, a mobile rehabilitation system that combines cognitive behavioral therapy and exercises for chronic back pain. Through a mixed-method study involving 24 adults experiencing chronic low back pain, our findings underscored a reduction in participants' fear avoidance beliefs related to physical activities in their daily lives, coupled with an increase in self-efficacy, confidence, and trust in continuous pain management. Furthermore, we conducted a thematic analysis of contextual factors influencing participants' acceptance of technology-mediated rehabilitation.

Based on our findings, we discuss significant implications for the design of mobile healthcare systems aimed at the comprehensive management of chronic low back pain.
